Digging up O'Keefe's Bones (sold)

Digging up O'Keefe's Bones, oil on canvas, 7" X 5", 2008
sold

I'm a Santa Fe boy, bred true (alright, I was actually born here, but, whatever) so there are skulls up in a couple of rooms here in the house.
Also, painting skulls may soon be in fashion again, so I wanted to get my oar in...

Really well-done, Jason. I love the underlighting in this and the painterliness. And you're wise to stake out your skull "territory" before Silvina claims it all.

Dig them bones Jason. I'm gonna have to go out in the back yard and dig up my cats.
( I would never really do that.)

Don,
Thanks! And you're absolutely right about trying to get one in there before Silvina... :)

Frank,
ewwwwww.......!

(actually I keep saying how I'm going to turn my cat into a sporran at some point, so who am I to judge?)

Alright, the gloves are off. I have a cow skull, a dog or coyote skull and a human skull. I'm so gonna win at this game.

You've inspired me to get painting again. Thanks for the link, Jason! Sweet.

I think your variety of skull types trumps my one lizard and three goat skulls...
