So, which do your prefer - masonite or canvas? I think I've almost purged my studio of canvas finally - I had a really weird OCD thing where I couldn't stand to see the texture through the paint...

Hmm... absolute favorite? Linen. I need to make some linen panels, but I'm too darn lazy. I've been bouncing between masonite, canvas panels, and loose canvas from a canvas pad.

Depending on the make and manufacturer, how I'm painting that day, and the subject, any of those will help or hinder what I'm doing.

Probably my consistent favorite of the three is the masonite.

I also get a weird OCD thing on weave showing through-- on *some* of the canvas surfaces. Not all though.
