Knuckleball (sold)

Knuckleball, oil on masonite, 5" X 5", 2008
sold

Baseball's back underway! Or at least it is, if you're hardcore, and listen to the spring training games...
One of my favorite baseball terms is 'knuckleball', and this season, Seattle's got a true knuckleballer trying to make the team...

LOVE it. I can practically smell the dirt and the stadium and the sunscreen.

Can't wait until opening day.

This is one of those deceptively simple looking shapes that is actually very difficult to draw and paint well. You nailed it--nice work!

The reflective image is what makes this painting truly work.... you've hit a long drive right out of the park!

I agree with Don. This is beautifully done and you make it look easy. Elipses are so hard!
