Every now and again I'll stop and frame up a batch, but I've been making slow progress. Today is all about framing. The house feels like a cross between a frame shop and a craft show.
When I use a mat (which I do for loose canvas/canvas pad, and occasionally masonite panels)I use glass. Having the mat paper exposed just doesn't 'look right' to me.
I don't use glass if I can fit the panel or stretched canvas into a frame opening that's the same size. Cheers,
I am a Seattle based artist who paints and sketches the world around him. I am primarily a figurative painter (please checkout my website!).
I paint everyday, and my blog showcases the small paintings I work on to sharpen my eye, loosen my brush, and to grow my skills.

Looks great! It looks like you frame with glass?
