Long Shadows on a Choteau Road (sold)

Long Shadows on a Choteau Road, oil on linen, 8" X 10", 2009
sold

Hoo boy was
it cold in Choteau, Montana this Christmas. Many times the mercury dipped below -5 degrees Farenheit, -15 Celsius. Painting was especially cold, as you are pretty much just standing around in the snow for a couple of hours.

You are dedicated, Jason! Who else is outside painting at 5 below? A lovely result, too.

Hi Don,

Thanks! I wasn't prepared for the changes to the medium that the weather brought, but it felt good to press on through the cold...

Thanks Kevin! The cold helped the brushwork, I think.
