cutting my thumb off...

Okay, maybe I didn't cut it off, but I dinged it pretty good. Posts are likely to be sparse (non existent) for a day or two...

Here's one you haven't seen yet:

White and Brown Sugar, oil on loose canvas, 7" X 5" (approximate), 2008
$100 USD

OH MY! I hope you will mend up soon, I am so sorry to hear about your thumb.

I've really enjoyed your latest paintings, so I'm hoping for a speedy recovery!

Lot of mood for a couple of jars. Heal up!

Karen,

Thank you. It was good enough today to bang one out...

Thank you Mr. Wray!

"Lot of mood for a couple of jars."

That has to be my favorite comment ever.

I did my left thumb with a really sharp knife 2 years ago. Bled so bad and spent hours in the ER waiting to be treated. Worst pain I can remember. As bad as a burn. Lots of nerves near the skin in the fingers. It was 18 months before I could put any pressure on it.

I'm impressed that you're painting.

Hi Mary...

I can be a pretty big baby, bt on the other hand I can be a stoic bi baby...

I was using a mandoline to cut onions, and went all the way to my thumb and nail. Thankfully I can now hold a brush reasonably well.
