Unbent Spoon (sold)

Unbent Spoon, oil on linen, 5" X 7", 2008
sold

I've painted a bent spoon once or twice, and I recently put one of them up at Cafe Ladro.

The attention that piece received had me thinking about spoons again, and so you're likely to see a couple of new ones pop up here and again...

Hi Jason! I like the warm underpainting showing through the cool silvery grays. You're always so good with painting metals.

Howdy Silvina! Thanks for the kind words. I've been messing about with trying to be a little looser with the underpainting coming through.

Seems to work better on the linen panels...

I'm concentrating hard--trying through telekinesis to bend that spoon. Not working so far. Nice painting though.
