Winged Victory #2 (sold)

Winged Victory #2, oil on canvas, 4" X 4", 2008
sold

On one of my recent local painting trips I came across a bunch of sugar maple seed pods. Normally, I think of them as brown--- like they'll look in fall. There was so much interesting color, I thought it made for an interesting contrast to the last time I painted a pair...

Jon,

Thank you! The new seed pods have a lot going on in 'em before they dry out...

Hi Mary,

Thanks! I hadn't noticed the mask look, but I do kinda see it now that you pointed it out...
