White Satin Sugar (sold)

White Satin Sugar, oil on canvas, 10" X 8" 2008
sold

I've been trying to give up sugar (and meat) for a month. I managed two weeks before breaking down at a movie on Sunday. So... back to day 1.

The White Satin Sugar factory is located in Georgetown, here in Seattle. It's where all the cool kids hang out.

No, I am not one of the cool kids. I had a day pass.

Way to go giving up meat Jason! Nice light on the side of the building too!

Meat AND sugar? Then I would have to give up my coffee too.
'Cause I put sugar in it, not meat.

Karen,

Thanks! I've long tried to stick to the 'enlightened' part of being an omnivore, and I don't eat much meat anyway, but I like to do time bound experiments here and there.

For example, I haven't shaved my beard for a couple of months, and I look like a crazy old gold prospector...

Frank,
I gave up vanilla flavoring-- which I like tremendously. Sugar's been the toughest. It's in soooo much stuff!

Plus, I like to have a root beer when I go to the movies. I fell off the wagon again last night...
