This is from the same location as the last post, just turned 45 degrees. I get fascinated with geometric/abstract shapes while I'm outside, and it tends to flatten out the scenes I paint.
I find that I flatten the space far too much for my liking whenI'm outside-- I don't have a good landscape eye yet. In the meantime, I'm studying past and current masters to help develop that eye muscle. I've looked at more than my fair share of your work in that regard... :)
I am a Seattle based artist who paints and sketches the world around him. I am primarily a figurative painter (please checkout my website!).
I paint everyday, and my blog showcases the small paintings I work on to sharpen my eye, loosen my brush, and to grow my skills.
