Paper Airplane #13 (sold) • Where's Jason Been?

Paper Airplane #13, oil on linen, 5" X 7", 2008
(sold)

Hello to all!

It's been a while since my last post, and no doubt some of you are wondering where I've been, while others have forgotten who I am entirely...

It's been a very full last few months. The second coming of the Great Depression, A family tragedy, the appearance of a significant Other, returning to a full time day job (see Great Depression Mark 2 mentioned above). I thought that I could keep up a reasonable rate of blog updating, but I was kinda kidding myself.

I think I'm finally ready to return to semi-regular posting-- at least 2-3 times a week. For those of you who have signed up for art in your inbox, be prepared to actually see it arrive again.

For all others, at least the page won't always be the same when you visit.

More soon. Happy summer!

Jason

Welcome back Jason, I am so sorry about your family tragedy. I'm glad to know you're okay and that you're painting again.

BTW, nice pinkish shadow on the plane, and I'm wondering, are these plane paintings making up a large grouping? I've working on this idea myself lately, (groupings) and just thought how cool it would look with - say - a 6 feet installation of all these plane paintings. ?? Just wondering :)

again glad to see you back!

Karen,

Thank you for your thoughts. It feels good to be back.

The planes started as a nice little homage to my former life when I quit my job the first time around, and then became a series when they got popular with folk. They have all sold, so no opportunity for a large grouping-- though not a bad idea at all... :)
