Camembert (sold)

Camembert, oil on linen, 5" X 7", 2010
sold
(please mention title of painting in mail)

I haven't made my own panels for a bit-- I prefer to paint on linen, but I refuse to pay $8.00 a panel.
I finally sat down and made a new batch, and boy do I feel the difference. Painting on oil primed linen is like adding WD-40 to a squeaky hinge... so much smoother.

I'd like to slab off a piece of that cheese and eat it.
Do you know that Utrecht linen on CARDBOARD 8x10 panels are $10 bucks?
I like the RayMar 6x6's and also buy the tempered masonite 6x6's at Jerry's and gesso them myself.

Mary,

Thanks. :)

Yup. The linen panels can get expensive--- which is why I make 'em myself. I think I have costs down to about $3 a panel-- and $1 of that is because I just glue on top of pre made canvas panels (which are super cheap and save me the labor/time of cutting my own).
